DENVER — Two radical environmental groups have asked the Bureau of Land Management to investigate an incident where an agency contractor allegedly hit a protestor with his sports utility vehicle at the BLM’s Colorado headquarters.
According to Greenwire, the Center for Biological Diversity and Rainforest Action Network have issued a letter to the BLM demanding an investigation into the incident, but the Lakewood Police Dept. has already investigated the matter and closed the case.  Not only did the police find no wrongdoing by the contractor, but they found that the entire incident was staged.
The radical environmental groups released a video that corroborated the police department’s findings.
“This soccer-level flopping would be funny if the accusation of hitting someone with a car weren’t so serious,” Kelly Maher, executive director of Compass Colorado said.  “These radical environmental groups will do anything — including stage car accidents — in attempt to thwart energy development in our state. They cannot and should not be trusted.”
