Democrats choose Hudak’s campaign manager to take seat
DENVER (Dec. 10, 2013) — Today, the Democratic Senate vacancy committee, comprised of Democrat activists, chose Rachel Zenzinger, a member of the Arvada City Council, to replace former state Sen. Evie Hudak. Hudak resigned November 27 to avoid recall.
“Sen. Hudak’s constituents were hungry for change and liberal activists served up more of the same,” said Kelly Maher, executive director of Compass Colorado. “Zenzinger may have a different name, but she’s been behind Hudak’s policies. Anyone who thinks Zenzinger is going to stand up to her own Democrat majority is fooling themselves.”
Rachel Zenzinger, who currently serves on the Arvada City Council, has a long history in former senator Hudak’s campaigns.
