DENVER — This evening, Democratic presidential candidates faced the public in their final townhall before the Iowa and New Hampshire caucuses.

Kelly Maher, executive director of Compass Colorado, released the following statement regarding the debate:

“This evening, we saw the three Democrat presidential hopefuls all have one goal in mind: to continue to grow government and increase control over people’s lives for four more years. The fact of the matter is that Americans are ready for new policies and a new vision to get our nation back on track. Each of the candidates were championing the same old, condescending ideas that tell the American people they’re not good enough to lead their own lives, and they need need the long arm of big government to tell them what to do.”
