Ken Salazar endorsed not-Joe-Salazar in the race for Attorney General, (ok, his name is really Phil Weiser, not not-Joe-Salazar, but still . . . ) Although Joe and Ken are not related, when asked during his announcement in March about Ken’s support, Joe told the Statesman: “Joe said Ken offered him advice and that Ken appreciated his motivation to run.” [emphasis, mine]
A bill that could give candidates and committees a grace period to fix clerical errors on their finance reports is headed to the Governor for a signature. Hopefully, this will help prevent the use of campaign finance rules as political weapons rather than tools for transparency.
