Question from a reader: “So, what’s going on with returns? Who’s winning?”

• Long story short – we don’t know. Republicans are barely leading Democrats, but by less of a percentage than we were in 2014. But, will the turnout arc look more like ’14 where Republicans led early, or like ’16 where Republicans turned in ballots late? We don’t know – but now is the time to pull out all the stops. Call your neighbors (nicely) and get those ballots off the kitchen table.
• We have a Vermont problem.
